*Notice* Office 365 Migration
Office 365 Migration
Your Acadia email account will be migrated to Office 365 in the next 3 business days, with expected completion by 12:00 noon on June 14. After the migration, you may need to change how you access your Acadia email.
As a reminder, all Faculty/Staff are advised to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Office before their migration. Support for the older versions will no longer be available and the upgrade is needed to resolve compatibility issues with Office 365. Information on how to upgrade and find your version of Microsoft Office is located in the TS website knowledge base article located here.
Please upgrade your Acadia owned laptop(s) & desktop(s) as well as your personally owned computers at home. Please note all users have a maximum of 5 installs of the Microsoft Office suite supplied for Office 365 migration.
If you use Outlook, there will be a brief interruption as the migration completes. You will be asked to exit and restart Outlook. Your new Office 365 (including email) username is your full firstname.lastname@example.org email address and your password is your Acadia login password.
· Calendar Sharing in Outlook:
Calendar sharing may have to be re-established after migration.
· To access email using a web browser:
For access to all Office 365 applications including email, go to http://office365.acadiau.ca. The following article will describe the new webmail service in detail.
· Email forwarded to third party service:
If you forward Acadia’s email to a third party email service such as Gmail or Hotmail, you will not need to do anything. After the migration your Acadia email will continue to be forwarded.
· Read Acadia email using alternate client:
If you read Acadia email using an alternate email client - such as Outlook, Mac Mail, etc. - you will need to make configuration changes with that email client. Refer to this article on configuring email clients for Office 365.
