Service Notice: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Did you know that Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or Two Factor Authentication (2FA) can reduce the risk of a compromised account by as much as 99.9%?
MFA is more secure because it focuses on things that are unique to you:
- Something you know: A PIN, password, or security question
- Something you have: Your phone
- Something you are: Your fingerprint, your face, your eyes, or your voice
The more personalized your security measures, the harder it is for someone else to bypass them.
You may already have MFA on some of your accounts. Most social media sites and other applications offer the option to use MFA in their security settings. Whenever a website, app or device allows you to enable MFA, click yes!
