Service Notice: Updated Teams Meeting Options
Teams has updated its appearance, introducing contrast colours and icons. There have also been enhancements to Teams Meeting Options, providing control over how attendees can join and participate in a meeting.
The meeting organizer can now update meeting options during a meeting. Some of the updated features include:
- Bypass the lobby. Although this feature was already available, it is now more encompassing allowing guests and trusted external organizations to bypass the lobby.
- Prevent Attendees from unmuting. This is a new feature that will disable attendees from unmuting during the meeting. This feature works in conjunction with Who Can Present. Attendees cannot be presenters and be automatically muted.
- Disable meeting chat. This features allows an organizer to disable the meeting chat during the meeting only or have it available meeting or available for a meeting only. For example, you might want a guest to have access to the chat only during the meeting.
- Disable live reactions. This features allows you to remove the option of live reactions, with the exception of the Raise Hand feature.
