Acadia Invites Students to Experience New Virtual Tour

Prospective students now have a whole new way of experiencing Acadia University. Acadia launched a new Virtual Tour that invites prospective students and their parents to follow “a day in the life” of Acadia students through photos, immersive photospheres, video, and text.

Unlike many virtual tours, Acadia’s tour is grouped around scenes and ideas instead of forcing visitors to navigate from building to building. Prospective students are invited to explore slices of life representing residences, dining, classrooms, fitness, volunteering, and more. Photospheres welcome prospective students to view the inside of spaces like a classroom, gym, Wheelock Dining Hall, residence room, and more, whether the student is using a computer, phone, or VR goggles.

The Virtual Tour website was created by Acadia University’s Technology Services Team, working in partnership with Enrolment Services. Students, faculty, and staff also contributed their time to appear in new photos and videos.

The Virtual Tour is now available, and will be incorporated into Enrolment Services websites and communications in December and January. Prospective students are invited to visit virtualtour.acadiau.ca to experience campus for themselves.
